The Covid-19 pandemic has had a profound impact on businesses and organisations. Working practices have changed significantly, with many people now working from home, using technology in new ways, and having to work flexible hours around home life. In unprecedented times, it is inevitable that stress levels will rise.
Mind Ed Training provides a wellbeing self-care package to organisations and their staff. Our interactive workplace wellness modules are based on the latest neuroscientific research. Our live virtual training sessions encourage participants to identify stress triggers, understand the body’s response system, and learn practical strategies to manage stress.
Our goal is to inform, educate and empower our clients' staff to take practical steps towards minding their own mental health.

Mind Ed was established in 2020 by Jacqui McGovern and Breda Kyne to meet the growing demand for workplace wellness training programmes in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Jacqui is a registered senior mental health social worker with 22 years of clinical experience in adult and child psychiatry. She has tutored and lectured on the MA in Social Work course in NUIG since 2010. As a working mum of 3 children, she understands the challenges facing working families in pandemic times.
Breda is a consultant trainer specialising in the area of wellbeing and growth mindset education. Breda became the first accredited MindUP™ Consultant in Ireland in 2016, and has since trained over 500 teaching staff in the programme. With almost 20 years experience in both education and industry sectors, Breda is passionate about empowering organisations to foster positive workplace cultures.

Mental health issues affect everyone, especially in times of crisis. We believe that mental health education is life-enhancing, and should be readily accessible to everyone. Our Core Workplace Wellness Courses
This course looks at the science and purpose of stress and its emotional, physical and psychological impact. It offers practical strategies for stress management and a sustainable long-term approach to self-care.
This course looks at the science, symptoms and causes of burnout, and offers practical prevention strategies.
Module 1 looks at burnout awareness for individuals. Module 2 is an advanced module for managers wishing to prevent and address burnout on teams and to build burnout prevention into the workplace.
Understanding the Science of Workplace Conflict
This course looks at the science of conflict in the workplace, and explores how using a 'safety first' approach to resolving workplace conflict can lead to greater levels of staff retainment and productivity.
This course looks at the science of attention and why attention management is more effective than time management in an age of distraction and remote work. It offers a range of practical attention management strategies and tips on how to access the benefits of the flow state.
Our Training Model
Due to Covid-19, all Mind Ed modules are currently live, 90 minute online sessions suitable for a maximum group size of 25. Some modules can be delivered as single units, while others require completion of all core modules. We are constantly developing new material and can create bespoke courses to suit individual organisations' needs.
We believe that prioritising applied learning when it comes to workplace wellness is one of the best investments an organisation can make. It has been proven that happy staff work better, take less sick leave, and stay longer with organisations where wellbeing is prioritised.
